Which hotel location is more convenient for sight seeing in Amsterdam?
Q. I'm planning to visit Amsterdam, Netherlands next week. I would like to know whether the Marriot Hotel (located between Leidseplein and Vondelpark) or the Renaissance Hotel (located between Central Station and Dam Square) would be more convenient given the winter weather. Which hotel location is better for tourist to see the major attractions in the wintertime? Any other travel tips for exploring Amsterdam in December? Thank you.

A. The Renaissance by all means (I've been to Amsterdam, and I am a hotel manager of 8 years ). The location is beautiful and close to stuff thats historic, and entertainment - the redlight district, the hard rock, lots of tours n stuff.

What hotel do the Minnesota Vikings stay in while they are in Baltimore?
Q. I am a big fan of the Minnesota Vikings and would like to get some of their autographs. I can't find out where they are staying because the team and the hotels are very quiet about it because they don't want autograph seekers there. I would appreciated knowing what hotel they stay at in Baltimore. And if anybody knows whether Adrian Peterson is a good signer or not. Thanks!

A. Hi peacefull location/hotels will be far from market and mall road.Particularly in dec. when its off season there you will love to stay on mall road. The price range you have mentioned, i will suggest Hotel Grand at nainital. Very nice cosy place. I stayed there in may7,8 2010. and yes Nice bed too Enjoy!!! If possible avoid 30-31 dec to save hotel charges.

Where's a good hotel to stay in in LA or SF area where couple can celebrate anniversary?
Q. My wife and I are planning on going to a hotel for a few days in either Los Angeles or San Francisco to celebrate our 2-year anniversary. What are some good hotels where we can stay without disturbing the other guests with sounds that may come from our room during sex. We only ask because during our honeymoon the walls to our hotel were not as thick as we had anticipated. Do most hotels offer enough privacy or should we expect something like what we got on our honeymoon? Price range: up to $125 a night. Thanks.

A. You should do your research first. If you want something warmer and more star like, I suggest a Hollywood vacation. Room prices vary but you get the best deals from the Hotels themselves. The top three on this site are always a great choice but any of them listed will suit you fine.

What is the difference between an hotel and apartment hotel?
Q. Okay, so, I'm going to stay in an apartment Hotel.. And since it has the word 'hotel' in it, does it mean it's exactly like an hotel? Or something? Thanks if you answered. And, no, I'm not going to Greece, I'm going to Bangkok living in this Apartment Hotel called Citadines.
Asked by Waii - Mon Nov 23 10:22:46 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. You`re going to Greece aren`t you...An Hotel is a big building with rooms and a restaurant where you have Breakfast, lunch and Dinner, and room service and a mini bar in the room and towels changed daily, etc and its expensive, or lets say, not cheap... An Apartmenthotel is a big building with rooms a reception area that doubles as a breakfast room for those on "half board", towels get changed every three or four days and you are "self catering" so its cheaper or lets say less expensive (though when you take in the food you have to buy, or eat out every night..it can be more expensive than staying in an hotel where it`s "all found")

What would you pay on average for a hotel room? How expensive is too expensive?
Q. I'm doing a report for a Guest Management Service class on "How Expensive is too Expensive?" in regards to hotel prices. What you pay on average for a hotel room? And what do you think certain age groups pay for hotels? Who's more attracted to the expensive hotels and the cheap or medium priced hotels?
Asked by Solahna - Mon Sep 21 16:28:27 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. On average, I pay between $80-$100 for a moderate hotel room that offers free internet and breakfast. I will pay up to $250 for a hotel room in a prime location (such as major cities or on the beach). The time of year also effects the cost of a room. A hotel in Washington, D.C. can be $75.00 a night in March but $375 in October or April. I think younger hotel guests are more interested in finding the cheapest price. Older guests are willing (and able) to pay higher prices for a prime location in high season that offers amenities such as restaurants, spa services, gym, pool, etc. Families want a moderate price for a clean, safe hotel.

Q. My friends and I are planning a Senior Trip in state to celebrate our graduation. We are 18 need a place to stay. Do you know of any hotel chains that you can get a room at 18?
Asked by jrb141992 - Sat Apr 10 16:14:01 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Very few. Best bet is to make the reservation and pay for the room ahead of time with a credit card. That way when you check in all you have to do is get the key and show the credit card. At that point if they want to refuse you the room they have to refund the money and go thru all that hassle and most of them won't bother. In fact, most of the time, it will never even come up. Good luck, stay safe, and practice s.s.!!

What hotel has the cleanest jacuzzi tub at the best rate that is located inside you're room?
Q. I also want to know if the water is already in the tub are do you run it? This is the first time I've ever did this and I'm doing it for my birthday next month I just want a Jacuzzi In an hotel room lit with candles and slow jams playing and just relax. OH I'm in Dallas.
Asked by tiana2404 - Thu Aug 14 11:42:27 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Typically, the in-room "jetted tubs" (can't call them Jacuzzi tubs unless they are actually made by Jacuzzi Co.). are just oversized bathtubs with jets. They won't have the water already in them, as they're not like the hot tubs you find by pools at a lot of hotels (where the water is treated with chlorine, etc.). So -- there are some hotels in the Dallas area that have rooms with jetted tubs: Sterling Hotel Lockheart Gables B&B Radisson (Fort Worth/Fossil Creek) Best Western ne md resort B&B Scottish Inn & Suites (Haltom City) Be sure, before you book, that the room description says "jetted tub". Good luck, hope that helps!

Asked by lufei2 - Sun May 6 21:48:46 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Your best bet would be split the difference and chose 3 Star. Its absolutely the amenities that are offered. 4 Star may have Valet parking, and 24 hour room service, etc. 2 Star would have very limited amenities, maybe no fitness center or business center. Cleanliness shouldn't be an issue, both should be clean, and well maintained.

Asked by Summerdays - Mon Nov 5 12:13:52 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. There are so many great options that it's hard to choose! I'm also not sure what your budget is -- at the high end, you might want to check out the Fusion Suites Number 40, the Black Tulip, Hotel Roemer, Banks Mansion, and the Seven Bridges hotel (these are all pretty pricey -- in the $200-$400 range!) For something a little more wallet-friendly but still very nice (under $200), you might want to look into the Chic & Basic, the Bridge Hotel, or the Hotel Zandbergen. For a real bargain (under $100 a night), the Hotel Brouwer is cute -- or look into the Prinsenhof, Hotel Weber, or the Owl Hotel. If you want a little more food for thought, check out IgoUgo.com's Amsterdam page; there are tons of reviews on hotels, restaurants,… [cont.]
